We are currently fundraising for the development of The Shakarongo Art & Youth Academy (SAYA) in Lusaka, Zambia.

SAYA was founded by Shakarango, also known as Brian Chengala. It serves as a resource center where young people can enhance their musical skills and build community. SAYA provides workshops that will educate youth about HIV/AIDS through music, and encourage active discussion among the surrounding community.



With your help, the Academy will:



• Offer educational workshops surrounding HIV/AIDS​​​

• Offer access to equipment​

• Promote creative expression among young people

• Encourage professionalism among young musicians

• Provide a safe and dynamic environment for young people to express themselves

Give a Guitar Intiative: “Ignite a life” Campaign

Our aim is to collect gently used guitars to provide young people with the opportunity to gain skills in musical and creative expression.

 

Beneficiaries will be identified with the help of the local organizations and community. In addition to receiving instruments, the students will be provide with music lessons and educational workshops.
